Role description

       6 years of experience in Monitoring and Incident Management.

  • Team Management – Performance and KPI management

  • Assist in Roster planning and Scheduling

  • Escalations management

  • Lead a team of L1-L1.5 Infra support & Monitoring Engineers

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills is mandatory, as job involves often interaction with business users and onsite engineers.

  • The support model is 24x7. Hence, should be ready to work in rotational shifts (including weekends)

  • Monitor the status of Servers, Network devices using monitoring tool

  • Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing tools is preferred

  • Mode of support is through Phone and Emails

  • Should co-ordinate with respective stake-holders and drive for resolution for any issues reported to NOC, using ITIL defined process and Incident Management Process

  • ITIL V3 Foundation Certification is an added advantage

  • Basic troubleshooting steps to be carried out to investigate issues on Windows Servers, Linux servers, network devices, Databases

  • Basic knowledge in Windows administration, Linux administration, networking concepts, DB administration is mandatory

  • Basic knowledge on Citrix, SCCM, VMWare, Shared folder create/add/Remove/modify

  • Vendor Certification on Windows or Linux or Oracle/SQL or Networking is an added advantage

  • Basic Knowledge on Active Directory, DNS, DHCP

  • Should follow, maintain and manage the knowledge base documents

  • Escalate out of scope issues to necessary support groups and work with them if necessary

  • Monitoring of  Ticketing tool Queue, Email, other monitoring tools and Phone

  • Handling Incoming Calls and providing technical service/support. Process related activity

  • Incident handling through monitoring and ticketing tools and Phone

  • Responding to email, providing technical and process related update

  • Coordination within Tier1,Tier2 and Tier3 team, Coordination during Outage, Coordination during major incidence, Sending Notification, update etc.

  • Preferred experience is using HP APM, HP SiteScope, Applog, Uptrends, ME – AppManager, ME –OpManager, Control-M, SQL Monitoring, Oracle Enterprise Manager
