Hedge Fund Analyst Job in Mumbai at MSCI
Your Team responsibilities :
MSCI's Hedge Fund Transparency business collects positions from hedge funds, checks the positions for quality, and processes the positions through MSCI risk analytics. The result is to provide hedge fund investors with risk analysis based on positions without exposing the position level detail.
Communicate with data provider to source the appropriate data content and format within the expected timelines.
Evaluate the completeness and accuracy of the input data with guidance from within the Team and the hedge fund manager.
Reconcile the input data with required data points and understand different type of securities/ asset class and clear exceptions/rejects through mapping and modeling.
Evaluate the appropriateness of risk results derived from input data and MSCI analytics.
Work closely-collaborate well with the Team within location and other locations
Report progress and status to management (status of funds in queue, metrics etc.)
Create and maintain a working relationship with fund administrators, HedgeFunds, etc.
Handle ad-hoc requests/ tasks.

Your Key Responsibilities :
Monitoring the receipt of files from providers and making sure that they are processed and released within SLA of 2BD.
Reach out to data provider to get the files if not received with the expected timelines.
Communicate with data provider to get appropriate data content and format.
Proactively seek feedback from seniors to learn and understand the process and take on complex and critical tasks .
Your Skills And Experience That Will Help You Excel :
1-3 years of experience and a Bachelor’s /Master’s degree. A degree in economics/ business/finance/engineering is a plus.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills. Fluent in English.
Strong PC Skills a must.
General knowledge of details related to stocks, bonds, futures, forwards., options and other traded instruments.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must.
Desirable knowledge of market data systems.
CFA,FRM is a plus
Ability to learn fast and utilize in-house software
Strong team player
