Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges. As a Financial Analyst, you'll ensure Google makes sound financial decisions, modeling business scenarios, and/or tracking performance metrics for our leaders to make strategic company decisions. You will multitask effectively while also focusing on the details and finding creative ways to address big picture challenges. As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll oversee projects to transform planning, tracking, and control processes. You'll provide management with insightful recommendations, planning, and reporting support. In this role, you will provide decision support to the India Sales Management team at Google. As a member of this team, you will be involved in projects partnering with various teams in Finance, Sales Operations and Strategy and across many products including Search, and YouTube. The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.



Minimum qualifications :


  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7 years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate finance, or similar commercial analytical role.

  • Experience working with data and with spreadsheets and/or SQL.


Preferred qualifications :


  • Ability to communicate with a senior management team.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical (spreadsheets/SQL) skills.

  • Excellent business judgment and leadership skills.


Responsibilities

  • Provide management with clear insights and recommendations into drivers of growth, market trends, risks, and opportunities leading to growth enhancing sales and product actions.

  • Engage in deep dive analyses to understand business performance and provide concise summaries and recommendations to management.

  • Support critical financial planning processes such as growth forecasting, sales goal setting, budget management, and business performance evaluation.

  • Identify new business opportunities to increase growth performance and profitability.
