Role Description :

Chegg is the leading student-first connected learning platform, and we are looking for self-motivated, proactive, highly responsive, flexible and organized individual. You will be responsible for supporting Data Analytics Team by delivering key performance metrics, as well as clearly communicating conclusions drawn from various sets of data for the business. A great opportunity for analysing a robust Content Operations data underlying multiple Chegg products including Study, Textbook Solutions, Q n A. 

You will be collaborating across function teams including Product Managers, Managers to deliver insights for better decision making. 

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible to create queries and pull details from various databases. (SQL, NOSQL)

  • Should be responsible to dig into complex datasets and schemas for different products and process changes.

  • Responsible to perform research work for business insights

  • Observe useful/meaningful patterns in the data, and summarize the takeaways

  • Accountable for providing good summaries, useful insights for better decision making

  • Perform Mid-level Adhoc analysis and presenting results in clear manner for better decision making

  • Able to create configurable data models in excel, python or R

  • Ability to check performance of various new products by collaborating with stakeholders

  • Responsible for creating monitoring reports and dashboards within defined TATs


  • BS/MS in Preferred fields: Science, Math, Engineering

  • 2-3 years of experience as data analyst.

  • Strong in SQL, Ability to write good SQL queries for data fetching

  • Knowledge of Python

  • Ability to perform descriptive Analysis

  • Should able to use any visualization or reporting tool: SSRS, Tableau, Domo, Power BI etc.

  • Good analytical skills

  • Data mining, cleansing and munging

  • Ability to do predictive analysis

  • Should aware about SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Redshift, Databricks, alation, API, Connectors

  • Microsoft office (strong in Excel)

  • Able to create small configurable models in excel.

  • Should aware about programming concepts

  • Able to understand DB Schema and perform validations

  • Can automate reports or manual work whenever required.

  • Good Thinker

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Presentation Skills

  • Quick learner

  • Willingness to work flexible/international hours as needed

  • Must work effectively with autonomy as well as within a team environment
