Position Overview :

The SDLC Automation & Governance team is part of the Wealth Management Organization at Morgan Stanley. The team is responsible for driving the SDLC standards and guidelines across Wealth Management division. We create tools to automate the SDLC and deployment process to increase the efficiency and productivity of the application team. Therefore, we are looking for colleagues with strong sense of ownership and ability to drive solutions. The role is primarily responsible in developing technical solutions to business problems and requirements begins with defining, analyzing and documenting requirements. Managing requirements at the project level can help fulfill business needs. Establish a dev enablement service group who can help building the dev practices tool to support dev interaction.

Responsibilities :

  • Understand business objectives. Working with users to formulate business & system requirements.

  • Identifying, investigating, and analyzing business processes, procedures and work practices.

  • Identifying and evaluating inefficiencies and recommending optimal business practices, and system functionality and behavior.

  • Good understanding of technology stack and N-tier architecture, UX, UI, services, business workflow, MQ, database, SQL’s and batch processing.

  • Good understand of synchronous, asynchronous business workflow and processing.

  • Embrace emerging standards while promoting best practices

  • Coordinate with other teams, business and vendors as necessary.

  • Manage your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a team

  • Involvement in full Software Development Life Cycle of the project.

  • Stakeholder management.

Required Skills :

  • 7+ years of experience in .Net full stack development

  • Experience in Agile/DevOps, for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating agile project teams. Achieve a high level of performance and quality and deliver agile projects that provide exceptional business value to users.

  • Experience in MS office, MS Visio, SharePoint, Jira, HP QC, confluence tool

  • Good verbal communication skills and presentation skills.

  • Project management skills.

  • The ability to run stakeholder meetings.

  • Excellent at time management.

  • Good documentation and writing skills.

  • Critical thinking ability, Strong problem-solving capacity.

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

  • Effective listener, speaker, reader and writer - able to bridge business and technical domains, promote best practices, and enforce good governance within challenging timelines

Good to have skills :

  • Experience in Banking, investment banking or wealth management domains
