Role Description: Business Analyst role is responsible for elicitation, analysis and documentation of business/technical requirements on delivery assignments. This role is expected to act as a liaison between business partners and technical team. Reporting Relationship: This role will report to Delivery Manager / Senior Delivery Manager Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for gathering and understanding business needs and translating them into effective user stories and requirements.
Assist the Product Owner/Lead Business Analyst in prioritization and implementation of cost-effective processes and system solutions.
Build holistic understanding of applications & underlying domain being supported
Identify impacts of change and help facilitate prioritization.
Effectively document system and business process changes for business and technical audiences with clarity, completeness, and specificity.
Contribute to organizational learning by training others, sharing best practices, and facilitating improvements.
Develop and execute training on completed solutions for business partners, as requested.
Identify business process improvement opportunities.
Identify data needs for process metrics and ongoing management of process health. Understand business architecture and ties to support business strategy.
Responsible for ensuring appropriate long term documentation including helping with data dictionaries and providing input for detailed data models and flow diagrams.
Contribute to the improvement of existing business process and system change. Research, identify and resolve system and business problems.
Actively communicate with business partners on business process and system changes or problems.
Qualifications
Must Have Education: Graduate Bachelor's degree (any stream) Skill Sets:
Strong knowledge of business analysis, business products, and IT systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving and big-picture thinking.
Requirements Gathering and Analysis using UML, Use Cases, Flow Charts, Stream-line diagrams, Context Diagrams, Domain Models etc.
Working knowledge of Database concepts, Entities & Attributes, SQL writing involving multiple joins.
Knowledge/experience working on data projects with exposure/interest in data visualization, Data Modelling, Data Reporting, experience in tools like Tableu / Power BI/ Focus will be preferred over generic BA skills
Strong communication (Verbal and Written), Elicitation and facilitation skills, Ability to embrace and understand change process, Issue / Escalation management, Negotiation/Decision making skills
Other: Good grasp of Agile methodology, business analysis in Agile Domain experience of financial services, having worked on IT related projects Competencies:
