About the Role
AIG has an exciting opportunity for an Actuarial Analyst to join its Reserving team in Bangalore/Gurgaon. The Actuarial Analyst will provide reserving and financial reporting support to the Property/Casualty profit centers of AIG under the supervision of senior department actuaries or analysts. The job involves the analysis of the reserves needed for various classes across Property, Causalty, Financial Lines and Speciality segments; assisting in the production of the Schedule P and other related annual statement exhibits, other statutory quarterly statements and management reporting information for the Property/Casualty AIG GAAP and Statutory financials.
This individual will report to a Senior Actuary, AIG P/C Finance Actuarial, located in Bangalore/Gurgaon.
Analyze data to assist determination of loss and expense reserve adequacy using actuarial techniques
Evaluate the appropriate IBNR to be booked each quarter, prepare Sarbanes Oxley documentation.
Conduct research, experience studies and other more complex actuarial analysis; develop, review, and analyze changes and improvements to actuarial procedures. Optimize processes to meet business needs.
Work with IT systems personnel to design new reports and data requirements.
Communicate with underwriters, finance, claims, compliance, and legal departments.
What we’re looking for:
BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area.
Completion of minimum 5+ CT series exams of actuarial Institute of UK/India or equivalent exams of Casualty Actuarial Society (USA)
2-4 years experience doing P&C actuarial work. Reserving experience preferred.
Strong analytical, technical, time management and problem solving skills.
Work well both independently and as part of a team
Strong business and collaboration skills
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access.
Should have working experience in one or more programming languages like VBA, SQL, R, Python or SAS.
